JOB DETAILS
JOB PURPOSE
To ensure effective implementation of Board decisions regarding planning, implementation, monitoring of construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of the public road network of Malawi and provide the day-to-day direction of the business of the Secretariat for the administration, organization and control of all employees of the Secretariat in accordance with established policies and procedures made under the Roads Authority Act.
KEY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB OUTPUTS

Represent the Authority as the official spokesperson at meetings at the regional and international level | Meeting Reports |
Liaise with the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MoT&PW) and other bodies responsible for transport activities on transport policy issues; | Regular contact with the Ministry on Policy issues |
Prepare technical/financial reports, budgets, costs and estimates as required by the Board | Reports to the Board |

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Management, or Business Administration.
- Must be a registered Engineer
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a senior management position
- Must have experience in the construction or road sector
- Professional membership of an internationally recognized institution.
